Cables, rollers and track.
The three parts that make a 200-pound door move like it weighs nothing — and the three that get ignored until the door is hanging crooked.

Signs it’s this
- Cable hanging loose, frayed or snapped
- Door lifts crooked, one side higher
- Rollers wobble, squeal or popped out
- Track bent, dented or pulled from the wall
- Door shudders or catches on the way up
- Door came down hard on one side
What we replace
Cables and rollers wear together, so we check both on every visit and replace what’s tired before it strands you.
- Lift cables and drums
- Nylon rollers that run quieter and longer than the steel ones most doors came with
- Hinges and bottom brackets
- Bent or misaligned vertical and horizontal track
- Doors put back on the track and re-balanced
Why a crooked door is urgent
A door with one slack cable is loading the other cable, the springs and the opener with weight they weren’t sized for. Left alone it takes something more expensive with it.
Don’t run a door with a loose cable
Cables carry the whole weight of the door. Leave it where it is and call.

Common questions
They’re quieter, they don’t rust, and they last. On an older steel-roller door they’re the single biggest noise fix.
Almost always, if the track isn’t badly bent and the sections aren’t cracked. We put it back, find out why it jumped, and fix that too.
Yes. Minor bends are straightened, badly damaged sections are replaced.
A tune-up is the visit where we catch this early: lubricate, tighten, check cables and rollers, balance the door.
